Growth In The Lockyer Valley

The Courier Mail and realestate.com have both published articles recently setting out areas in Queensland that will have some of the biggest growth in population over the 20 years.

One of those is the Lockyer Valley who they predict will increase in population by 37.34% by 2046.

To put some figures around this, they are predicting as follows:

  • 2021 – 41,762
  • 2026 – 44,453
  • 2036 – 50,794
  • 2046 – 57,354

To cater for this increase in population, throughout these periods the area should be getting better infrastructure to cater for this increase in population.

Those same articles stated that the median house prices in the Lockyer Valley are currently $500,000.  They predicted that by 2046 those median house prices would be $1,291,333.  That’s about two and a half times the median price now.

With my previous blog where realestate.com identified the Lockyer Valley as place of interest for investors and these growth estimates, now might be the time to buy property in the Lockyer Valley!
