Realestate.com released an article last week where it identified the Lockyer Valley in their article “Regional Australia’s top 5 cheapest and best places to invest in property”.
If that is not an endorsement I don’t know what is!
The article stated that the following about the Lockyer Valley:
- population is projected to increase 37% by 2046 from 41,000 to 57,000;
- among the top 10 most fertile farming areas in the world;
- home to light industry, Queensland University campus, is a gateway to the Surat Basin mining precinct and has growing renewables sector;
- Good road links and a scenic backdrop means the area’s natural beauty and rural charm attracted visitors and residents from across the state and beyond.
The article identified the following infrastructure projects which are identified for the Lockyer Valley:
- $11 billion Inland Rail project;
- $245 million water distribution plan;
- $180 million food processing plant;
- $110 million Equine Precinct;
- $100 million Lockyer Energy Project.
So before the word spreads too far, it might be an idea to do all the buying you want to do!
