From the time that COVID struck it seems that house prices have just been on the up and up.

This has been the changes in house prices around the Lockyer Valley in the last 4 years (March 2020 – March 2024):

  • Gatton – increase 54%
  • Withcott – increase 60%
  • Helidon – increase 64%
  • Laidley – increase 81%
  • Laidley Heights – increase 74%
  • Forest Hill – increase 45%
  • Glenore Grove – increase 98%
  • Plainland – increase 80%
  • Kensington Grove – increase 45%

These were the changes in house prices around the Lockyer Valley in the previous 4 years (March 2016 – March 2020):

  • Gatton – increase 6%
  • Withcott – increase 10%
  • Helidon – increase 7%
  • Laidley – increase 3%
  • Laidley Heights – increase 26%
  • Forest Hill – increase 8%
  • Glenore Grove – increase 8%
  • Plainland – increase 2%
  • Kensington Grove – increase 26%

The current median house sale prices around the Lockyer Valley:

  • Gatton – $430,000
  • Withcott – $682,000
  • Helidon – $463,000
  • Laidley – $435,000
  • Laidley Heights – $630,000
  • Forest Hill – $393,000
  • Glenore Grove – $698,000
  • Plainland – $629,000
  • Kensington Grove – $657,000

Does this mean that the prices in the Lockyer Valley were too low or is it that everyone has now discovered us?
