When will interests fall?

This is the question that we would all like to know the answer.

For households who are currently treading water and just making ends meet, they would like that to be next month.

There were indications that it might be later this year, although that thinking seemed to have changed after the meeting of the Reserve Bank during May this year.

According to an article published by realestate.com, ANZ has been the first bank to officially scrap the November 2024 rate cut and predict that the next interest rate cut will be February 2025.

The experts are warning that inflation is not recovering as well as it should and that CPI will not reduce to between 2-3% until the end of 2025.

The only good news that can be taken from the article is that the experts are tipping that there will be no interest rate rises.

ANZ are predicting that there will be three rate cuts in 2025.

All the other big banks are still holding with their predictions for rate cuts in November 2024.
