How long does it take to sell my home?

This is generally a question that most potential buyers will ask their real estate agent.

Pre-covid the answer was probably going to be how long is a piece of string or as long as it takes.  During covid it could have been a matter of days.  Post-covid it started out as a matter of weeks and now it is starting get a bit long.

Realestate.com has released some figure which has said that nationally the median days of market is 44 days which has increased 9 days from the same time last year.  However, it is down from 64 days as it was in 2019.

Getting closer to home, the following are this years median days on market:

• Gatton 46 days;
• Placid Hills 104 days;
• Adare 44 days;
• Grantham 52 days;
• Forest Hill 85 days;
• Laidley 24 days;
• Plainland 40 days;
• Hatton Vale 40 days.

There are a lot of things that go into how long a property is on the market, however, these median days are a good indicator of the potential length of time that it will take to sell your property.
