The Reserve Bank told us last year that interest rates will not increase until 2024. Here we are just over 12 months later and we have had 13 rate rises.
I had an old boss who always used to say “The last person who was perfect they crucified”.
There will be times when we get things wrong. But the true test of the person is how they respond and react. How they bounce back and learn from their mistakes.
Once you learn than lesson you then need to have a short memory and forget about the mistakes and just keep the lesson.
So if you feel that you don’t know what decision to make about whether to fix your interest rates or not, or whether to sell your investment home, or whether to sell your current home and buy a new home, just remember everyone makes mistakes.
Sometimes, you will not know for years whether you made a mistake or not. Hindsight is 20/20, just remember learn the lessons of history so that you are not doomed to repeat.
