Part of being a real estate agent is having a tough skin as you can not fear failure. The most common answer that a real estate agent hears from questions that they ask is no.
The training course for real estate agents say that it takes approximately 30 calls to get an appraisal. It then takes approximately 10 appraisals to get a listing.
Once you have the listing that’s when you really get to talk to people and that’s when you really become familiar with the answer.
It really comes down to the skill and experience of the agent where the relationship goes to from there.
As the saying goes in real estate today’s buyer is tomorrow’s seller, so as an agent there is limited benefit to burning bridges. It is better to keep the door open as there might be a future dealing with that person that might lead to something.
